Need an Interpreter?

Whether you are hosting a performance, a corporate conference, employee training seminar or just need someone to interpret for a parent / teacher meeting, Michael Doyle can help.

Consider Michael's Services

Michael's life revolves around the Deaf. Raised in a Deaf household there is no deeper connection one can have, without being Deaf. Michael understands. Before his interpreting was his work, it was his way of life. He is involved in all aspects of the Deaf community including memberships in Deaf Clubs. Michael has the insight and patience it takes to help the Deaf get the message or send it. He works better, because he cares.

What about agencies?

First, agencies are not accessible to everyone, they are generally located in or near big cities. This excludes a substantial part of the deaf community isolated in more rural locations. Michael does provide services for agencies and has been very satisfied with his arrangements with them. Agencies, in general, are good alternatives for the Deaf when they need help. After the American Diabilities act they became an important ally in the Deaf's fight for equal rights, they have excellent interpreters and some not so excellent. There are some interpreters like Michael, who may be CODA's or just genuinely interested in helping the Deaf. The problem is you don't know which one you will get. In most cases, with interpreting you cannot re-run the event if it doesn't work out. So why take the chance if you don't have to. If you have a choice, start with someone you can be assured is out to do the best for you and the Deaf.

But what if your event or project is elsewhere?

Traveling is part of Michael's package, he has interpreted in Detroit and throughout Michigan, Chicago, Columbus, Ohio, Milwaukee, Washington D.C. and in New York City. Michael is very open to traveling for events elsewhere.

How much does it cost?

Michael's rates are very competitive with agencies and will always be fair. Rates are commensurate on the type and amount of work and any extra time spent either in traveling or preparing for the event.

If you are an event planner, consider Michael's background and experience for your event if you want your Deaf audience or clients to walk away with the message.
